Corinth Exposed Photography Festival 2023

The Corinth International Photography Festival 2023 in collaboration with the Corinthian Photography Club and the Peloponnesian Institute of Arts presents, at the Alexandrio Conference Center, the solo photography exhibition of Iria Spiliopoulou entitled: Your body as a tool.

The inauguration will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 19:30.

Working hours: Daily (except Weekend) 9:00 - 14:00

Iria Spiliopoulou

A body that feels. A body that hurts. A body that is in pain. A body that creatively gives birth to lust and awaits for its existence. A body-tool that creates ideas and perceptions. A body that can be touched but that is untouchable at the same time. A mirror and a hiding place as well. A light and darkness. A body that is young, lustful and attractive. A body that is used for good and for bad. A body that is used for creation and for distraction, for bliss and ruination. Our body is the shell of our soul and our mind. It's our tool and that is why it is used as one. It can either repair something or fully destroy it.

Short bio: Iria Spiliopoulou was born in 1998 in Athens. She studied at AKTO Art & Design. She has participated in exhibitions such as Photometria Festival, Corinthian Photography Festival, Soundtrope, Petit Paris d'Athens , etc.

She has been in the finals of the student competition "Hahnemühle Student Photo Competition", while her work has been featured in the German magazine "Fine-art Printer".
